Objectives

  1. Improving the overall business climate of the country by addressing pressing issues.
  2. Promoting and safeguarding the economic and trade interests of the business community.
  3. To act as a central clearinghouse for collecting information relating to current or proposed business policies.
  4. Articulating matters relating to better business policies and practices to the general public and government agencies.
  5. To assist in and support voluntary or self-help initiatives or endeavors to improve the business climate and social impact.
  6. To carry out any other activity that will help improving good governance, reducing corruption and strengthening democratic institutions.

Goals

  1. To represent the interests of the majority of the business community in Bangladesh.
  2. Forge strong alliances with like organizations to engage the central and local government on strategic business issues including the reduction of corruption and bureaucracy.
  3. Lobby for a more effective, equitable and fair taxation system that improves government revenues and allows for tax reduction.
  4. Promotion of exporting more manpower & attracting FDI.
  5. Work to reduce cost of capital and strengthen economic governance.
  6. Promote local and foreign investments in Bangladesh through government issued incentives.
